MSC Cruises belongs to the Swiss MSC Group and is one of the largest cruise lines in the world. It has a particularly strong position in Europe, and its head office is in Geneva.
From a passenger's point of view, however, something more practical matters most: MSC offers Mediterranean cruises all year round, on a sea that is comparatively easy to reach from Central Europe. Ports such as Genoa and Marseille can be reached by car, while Barcelona and Rome are an easy flight away.
MSC is also developing its own destinations beyond Europe. In the Bahamas the line owns the private island of Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, which is one of the stops on selected Caribbean itineraries.
It is this combination of a wide network of sailings, convenient starting ports and a large choice of routes that makes MSC one of the most accessible lines for passengers travelling from Poland.
The MSC fleet changes seas with the season. The same ship may spend the winter in the Caribbean and return in summer to the Mediterranean or Northern Europe. That is why, when planning a cruise, it is worth keeping the right order: first choose the region and the date, and only then the specific ship.
It is the simpler and more practical approach, because the availability of ships follows the seasonal routes.

MSC offers the same sailing in several fares at once. They differ not only in price, but also in the payment rules, the possibility of changes and the range of services. You will find the full conditions of the individual fares in the relevant tabs on this page. Here we point out the matters that most often matter when making a decision.
Last-minute fares are usually non-refundable and inflexible. Payment in full may be required within a short time of the booking being confirmed, and a change of date, route or ship may not be allowed. In the event of cancellation, the money paid may not be refundable. A lower price therefore means less flexibility.
Fares with a drinks package included can work out better than buying the basic fare and adding a package separately later. Before booking, it is worth comparing both variants. At Center Cruises we can make such a comparison for the specific sailing.
A drinks package usually covers all the passengers governed by the rules of a given booking or cabin. In practice this means that if the adults choose a package, a corresponding package may also be required for the remaining adult passengers, while an appropriate non-alcoholic variant applies to children. It is an element worth checking before confirming the booking.
On top of the cruise fare there are also service charges, accrued per person per night, and a percentage service addition applies to selected onboard purchases. We quote the current rates for the specific booking, as they can change depending on the season, the ship and the route.
The cost of cancelling a cruise rises as the departure date approaches. The rules may differ depending on the length of the cruise, the chosen fare and the product category, including MSC Yacht Club.
Changing a passenger's name is possible only on set conditions, usually for an additional fee and up to a specified point before the cruise begins.
It is worth paying particular attention to how the cancellation costs are calculated. In some cases the basis may be the full brochure price of the cruise, rather than the amount actually paid after discounts or promotions. On more expensive bookings the difference can be significant.
That is why, before the purchase, it is worth considering cancellation-cost insurance, especially when the cruise is booked far in advance or its value is high.

The MSC fleet is very varied. The older, smaller ships offer a more intimate atmosphere, while the newest World-class vessels rank among the largest in the whole fleet, with more than 20 decks and over 2,500 cabins.
The difference is felt from the first day of the cruise. The large ships offer far more attractions: aqua parks, extensive promenades, numerous restaurants, bars and entertainment zones. You should, however, allow for more passengers, queues and a slower walk ashore in the ports.
The smaller vessels have fewer attractions on board, but give a calmer travel experience. They can also call at ports inaccessible to the largest ships, and getting on and off board usually goes more smoothly.
MSC Yacht Club is a set-apart, more exclusive area available on selected ships. It includes, among other things, a private lounge, a restaurant, dedicated spaces and a higher standard of service. It is worth remembering, however, that Yacht Club bookings may be subject to separate, more restrictive cancellation conditions.
That is why, when choosing a cruise, it is worth looking not only at the route and the price, but also at the specific ship. It is the vessel that largely decides what the whole trip will be like.

Which MSC fare should I choose?
It depends on how much flexibility you need. Promotional and last-minute fares can offer the lowest price, but usually come with more restrictive conditions regarding payment, changes and cancellation.
Early-booking fares give a wider choice of cabins and gentler conditions.
Fares with a drinks package included are worth comparing against the basic fare plus a separately bought package — either variant can come out ahead, so it is worth costing both before you choose.
How does the drinks package work?
As a rule, it runs for the whole cruise and, in principle, cannot be bought for selected days only.
MSC's rules may require that a corresponding package is also held by the other people covered by the same booking or staying in the same cabin. Appropriate non-alcoholic packages apply to children.
A package bought before the cruise is usually cheaper than one bought on board. The range of drinks varies between packages, so it is worth checking which variant best matches the way you travel.
What does cancelling a booking cost?
The closer to departure, the more, and the rules may differ for shorter cruises, longer ones and MSC Yacht Club.
In some cases the charge is calculated on the full brochure price, not on the discounted amount you actually paid.

What is online check-in like?
Online check-in is available before the cruise within the window set by MSC — it opens a few weeks before the sailing and closes shortly before departure. It is worth reaching the port 2–3 hours before the scheduled departure. If you plan a transfer from the airport to the port, at least 5 hours should remain between landing and departure.
You enter document and contact details, and in some cases a passenger photograph also needs to be added.

Which MSC ship should I pick?
The choice of ship matters a great deal. Large vessels, including the World-class ships, offer extensive facilities — aqua parks, promenades, numerous restaurants — which suits families with children.
Smaller, older ships are calmer, quicker to get off, and can enter smaller ports.
MSC Yacht Club is a set-apart, more exclusive area with a higher standard of service, available on part of the fleet.
What currency do I pay in, and how does the onboard account work?
Prices on the site are shown in zloty, while the contract may be concluded in euros or US dollars, depending on the booking. Payment by transfer works in euros or in zloty; the payment link takes PLN only. We do not offer instalment payments.
The currency of the onboard account depends on the ship and the region of the cruise.
The card can usually be linked to the account before the cruise or once on board, in line with MSC's procedure.
What will you do if something goes wrong during the cruise?
Our service does not end when the documents are issued. If a problem arises during the cruise, we help clarify it and contact the cruise line on the client's behalf, to the extent that this is possible.

The cruise booking conditions may vary depending on the itinerary, season, and selected package. However, the basic conditions include:
1. **Deposit and Full Payment:**
- A deposit of 30% is required to confirm the booking.
- Full payment is usually required 60-90 days prior to departure. For late bookings, full payment may be required immediately.
2. **Cancellation and Penalties:**
- Cancellation penalties depend on the time remaining before departure. The closer to the departure date, the higher the penalties.
- More than 60 days before departure: €50 per person
- 59 to 30 days: 30% of the total price
- 29 to 22 days: 50%
- 21 to 15 days: 70%
- Less than 14 days before departure: 100%
3. **Booking Changes:**
- Passenger substitutions are subject to an additional fee of €50 per person.
4. **Insurance:**
- It is recommended to purchase travel or medical insurance to cover potential costs in case of cancellation or changes to the booking, as well as medical expenses during the cruise.
5. **Document Requirements:**
- All passengers must have valid passports and visas for visiting countries (if required by the destination) on the cruise itinerary. The responsibility for obtaining visas lies with the passengers.
To ensure a smooth and fast embarkation experience, guests must obtain the cruise ticket tagged ’Fast Track’, by completing the online check-in process either through the MSC Cruises website, or the MSC for Me app (available on select ships only).
The check-in is available from 30 days up to one day before departure of the cruise. Travel Agents can assist clients with the online check-in, as long as clients complete the mandatory parts themselves, including taking a picture with a device that has a digital camera.
To issue the cruise tickets, the following mandatory fields are required for all passengers and must be filled during the check-in process:

2) Onboard information
• The embarkation time slot is set by default, but if available clients can use a drop-down menu to change it to one that suits them best. If the slot is blurred, the specific embarkation time is no longer available.
• A colour passport-style, mandatory security picture has to be taken. Clients will need to use a device with a digital camera and face the camera when taking their picture.
• There’s an optional ‘Travel with’ section to provide the booking and cabin number of the client’s family or friends. Upon availability, the cabins should be assigned to eat at the same dinner table.
3) Optional registration of a credit card
To save time onboard, clients can register their credit card before their cruise. All their onboard expenses will be directly charged to their credit card.
Check in with just 3 clicks:
1. Find a check-in on the MSC Book in the Before departure section – Web check-in. Or directly visit our MSC website and click on the ‘Manage booking – Web Check-in’ section. Clients can also check in using the MSC For Me App on select ships where it’s available.
2. The booking number, name and surname must be entered.
3. Passengers’ data and onboard information must be entered and there’s an option to register a credit card.
In case of need, the Travel Agent can fill in the clients’ data and generate the cruise ticket in the MSC Book, although this way the cruise ticket won’t include the ‘Fast Track’ tag. Additionally, the Travel Agent can find all the available cruise tickets in the Booking > E-ticket section on MSC Book.
Before arriving at the port, guests should ensure that they have all personal travel documents required, and that all personal information shown in their cruise ticket is correct. In the event of necessary changes, they can repeat the online check-in process to re-issue the e-ticket.
