In December 2013, MSC Cruises announced a renovation project for four LIRICA class ships.
One of the world's largest shipbuilding companies, FINCANTIERI, took part in the program, which lasted for 2 years. The project took 2 years and started in 2015. As a result, on the liners MSC Armonia, MSC Lirica, MSC Sinfonia and MSC Opera, new entertainment complex facilities, play areas for children for five age groups (including very young ones up to 3 years old), technological innovations, increased store areas and Spa center, almost 200 new cabins were built on each ship (193 cabins for passengers and 59 cabins for crew).
Absolutely all cabins are completely updated and decorated, they have new beds and LCD TVs. In many areas of the ship, new carpeting has been laid, walls and ceilings have been repainted and re-decorated, and furniture has been replaced.
In addition, each ship is equipped with a water spray park for children. Larger stores can already boast of new interiors, and the perfume department now has corners dedicated to the world's leading brands, including Dior, Lancome and Dolce & Gabbana.

On board all MSC liners, there are free children's miniclubs where you can leave your children (from 3 to 17 years old) under the supervision of tutors. There are special programs designed for three age groups:
Baby Club - for children from 3 to 6 years;
Junior Club - for children from 7 to 11 years;
Club Young - for teenagers from 12 to 14 years
Club Teens - for teenagers from 15 to 17 years.
For children there are special beverage packages and Special family excursions.
Entertainment: chess, checkers, modeling, paint, group games, sports tournaments, parties, concerts and much more.
Babysitting services on board are not available.
The price of the cruise includes meals on board with a shift dinner system, i.e. Dinners are held in 2 shifts 19:00 and 21:00 respectively. Cabins of class Aurea offer free time for dinner. The buffet is open for 20 hours a day.

The cruise company recommends to have three types of clothing during the trip:
for recreation and sports (casual);
clothes and shoes for excursions, depending on the season and route features (sport and casual);
elegant clothes for evening visits to restaurants and evening events: shows, casinos, clubs, bars (smart casual "more strict" and formal "strict").
During the evening events, the cruise company does not welcome a beach clothes.
